Premier League giants Chelsea are readying a fresh offer for AC Milan starlet Alessio Romagnoli, Quotidiano Sportivo has suggested.
It is no secret that the Blues are hot on the trail of the former AS Roma stopper, and they had a €35 million proposal rejected by the Rossoneri last summer.
But, with the team conceding goals for fun at the start of the new season, manager Antonio Conte is eager to bring Romagnoli to Stamford Bridge at the earliest opportunity.
That is why Chelsea plan to raise their offer to €50 million in the January transfer window, meaning AC Milan will get a chance to turn a 100% profit on their star player having paid him €25 million just over a year ago.
The Blues will be determined to make amends for the heavy loss to local rivals Arsenal when they take on Hull City next weekend, where they are 4/9 favourites to claim maximum points.
