Chelsea reject Barcelona’s Willian bid

According to Sky Sources, Chelsea have rejected a mammoth £50 million bid from Spanish giants Barcelona for playmaker Willian. This news comes just a few days after it was confirmed that Barca were in fact extremely interested in acquiring his services, although the Blues were said to be doing everything in their power to price the La Liga champions out of a move for the Brazilian.

The talks have been ongoing for a while now, and the report suggests that they’ll continue today as the two European juggernauts try to finalise a deal. This venture for Barcelona has apparently taken up to three months, which is when they first signalled to Chelsea that they want to try and make a deal happen.

Chelsea are standing firm on wanting more than £50 million for Willian, who has been at the club for five years now after he was signed from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
