Last year’s beaten finalists Chelsea edged into the Champions League semi-finals here on Tuesday in a thrilling 4-4 draw to win 7-5 on aggregate.
Chelsea had fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to lead 3-2 on the night only for Liverpool to score two goals in the last 10 minutes through Lucas and Dirk Kuyt and needed just one more to go through on the away goals rule.
However, England midfielder Frank Lampard at last put the result beyond doubt when he scored in the final minute to set Chelsea up with a semi-final clash with Barcelona.
