According to Sky Italia, Chelsea have set AC Milan a price of up to £62 million for striker Alvaro Morata. The 25-year-old has had a tough time at Stamford Bridge after an initially promising start, with negotiations beginning in the last few days over the Spaniard’s possible move.
Apparently, the two clubs are still miles apart when it comes to agreeing on an actual deal, meaning that Milan are keeping their options open with Gonzalo Higuain and Radamel Falcao being the alternate options.
Milan continue to try and improve their squad as they attempt to force their way into the Champions League spots next season, aiming to follow Inter Milan in returning to their glory days.
Morata will be desperate to recapture the spark that put him on the map in the first place, especially after he failed to qualify for Spain’s 2018 FIFA World Cup squad courtesy of his performances for Chelsea.
