According to some reports in England, title contenders Chelsea are set to spend big in the January transfer window as fears continue to grow over a potential Financial Fair Play violation. The rumblings started up a few days ago that the Blues may have broken the rules, and if they’re found to have done so, they may have a transfer ban imposed on them for up to two years.
Maurizio Sarri won’t be wasting any time in the window as a result, with the club being set to spent a huge £200 million on a variety of players in order to strengthen their options. Chelsea have had a great start to the Premier League campaign and are currently unbeaten in the English top flight alongside Liverpool and Manchester City, although this supposed ban could wind up setting Sarri back quite badly in terms of his ‘bigger picture’ plans for the club.
