Chelsea set to keep Falcao for season

The Mail Online understands that Radamel Falcao is set to remain at Chelsea for the remainder of the season with parent club Monaco reluctant to take him back in January.

The Blues are keen to cut short the Colombia international’s year-long deal though Monaco are not interested in welcoming him back.

Falcao arrived at Stamford Bridge in July and has since racked up ten appearances in all competitions though all but two of those have come as a substitute while his only goal for the club so far came in a 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace back in August.

The twenty-nine year old spent last season at Manchester United, where he also failed to produce the form that saw him recognised as one of the games hottest talents.

Valencia, who have close links with agent Jorges Mendes are keeping tabs on the former Porto and Atletico Madrid man.
