Chelsea set to reveal new manager

According to a recent report from The Athletic, Chelsea will reveal their new permanent manager at some point this week.

This season, it’s safe to say, has been a turbulent one for Chelsea Football Club. In addition to incredibly poor results on the pitch, they’ve also been through four managers with Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard all taking the helm. Right now, the Blues are just watching and waiting until the end of the campaign finally arrives.

In terms of who they may announce next, Mauricio Pochettino has been viewed as the frontrunner for a while now. It’s unusual to think that he’d take on the task of heading to another London club given his time with Tottenham Hotspur, but it’s certainly plausible.

Pochettino has a whole lot of potential left as a manager, whereas Chelsea really can’t afford to get their next managerial appointment wrong.
