Chelsea set to sign Benoit Badiashile from AS Monaco

Chelsea are on the verge of signing Benoit Badiashile from AS Monaco in the January transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Premier League club Chelsea have finalised an agreement with Ligue 1 outfit Monaco for the central defender.

Former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea wanted to sign Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window. However, Chelsea have failed to convince the German club to part company with the Croatia international centre-back and have moved to bring Badiashile to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will reportedly pay Monaco £30 million for Badiashile. Personal terms will not be an issue for a player defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain also wanted to sign.
