Chelsea set to try and get Hazard to stay

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are set to do everything in their power to convince Eden Hazard to remain at the club. The Blues are said to be interested in tying him down to a new contract, with his current deal being set to expire in 2020. The Belgian was in talks to sign a contract extension last year but that was put on hold courtesy of Real Madrid’s interest in the Chelsea star.

It’s no secret that this is a situation that’s been ongoing for quite some time now, with both sides being guilty of holding things up. Hazard has said a lot in the media regarding his move and he seems to be playing both sides off of one another, which could be a risky tactic. Either way it appears to be working, with the Blues showcasing their desire to really let Real know that Eden is someone they want to keep on the books.
