Chelsea step up chase for Henderson

According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, Chelsea are ready and willing to double the wages of Dean Henderson in order to lure him away from Manchester United.

It’s been another successful season for Henderson who has spent the campaign out on loan with Sheffield United, with his future at the club remaining unclear. Some fans and pundits alike believe the right way to go is for him to replace David de Gea as the number one goalkeeper at Old Trafford, whereas others feel as if he should stay with the Blades.

The Blues have made it known that they want to pursue another goalkeeping option this summer as the future of Kepa remains increasingly uncertain. Still, if Henderson is going to go anywhere over the next few months, you’d have to think it’ll be back to Sheffield United – because if not, turning down the number one spot at United wouldn’t seem like the wisest decision.
