According to a recent report from A Bola, Chelsea are stepping up their interest in Porto star Alex Telles in the hope that he could serve as a potential replacement for Marcos Alonso. While there are no guarantees that Alonso is going to wind up leaving the club, it certainly feels like he’s leaning towards Inter Milan as speculation continues to grow over his future.
The belief is that Telles could be acquired by Frank Lampard for a fee of around £40 million courtesy of a clause in his current contract. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with the Blues over the course of the last few years, and given how badly Lampard clearly wants to add to his squad and improve it during the summer, it’s not all too surprising to start pushing this early.
Either way, it seems like there’s going to be a lot of movement in and out of Stamford Bridge in the next few months.
