Chelsea still want Kounde

According to a recent report from Evening Standard, Chelsea are still considering a move to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

The Blues failed to get a Kounde deal over the finish line during a deadline day surge but it appears as if their interest is still alive and well. Chelsea made a big impression during the summer transfer window but, as per this new evidence, they aren’t done making a splash under Thomas Tuchel.

The 22-year-old was on the verge of heading to Stamford Bridge, or so it seemed, before it was reported that Chelsea weren’t willing to meet the £68 million price tag.

If he can go on to have a really strong few months leading up to the January transfer window, and if the Blues are still in need of defensive reinforcements, we could see them going after this deal again in just a matter of months – provided Sevilla are still willing to sell.
