(GSM) – Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero insists that he’s fully focused on winning trophies with his club. The Argentinian striker, who has been heavily linked with Chelsea, stated that a transfer is not on his mind.

The 21-year-old forward said that he couldn’t be happier as he faces the first opportunity to lift a trophy since joining Atletico four years ago.

“When I came to Atletico I was thinking about winning finals and lifting trophies. Now we face a final in Europe. I’ve gotten closer to the objective, I am very happy and enjoying it to the fullest,” he told AS.

“I will never forget the match we played against Liverpool. We managed to make history and to enjoy to the fullest. It is very difficult for any team to reach two finals in the same year and we’ve got there. We knew it would be a tough game for everyone, it would not be easy.

“Right now I do not think about my future, only about trying to become a champion with Atletico. From now until June I just want the best for the club and then, if there’s an offer, it will be what is best for all parties.”

While Aguero seems sure an offer will come during the summer he said it will be difficult to leave as he doesn’t believe he can find the same happiness at another club.

“I am happy at Atletico. I am happy for the club and the people. Surely the happiness that I have here I will not find elsewhere. It will be difficult to accept an offer, but you have to decide what is best for both,” he declared.

“Now I want to win the Europa League against Fulham and then we will have time to think about the Copa del Rey against Sevilla.”
