(GSM) – Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has a long list of admirers if his club does not offer him just terms, according to his agent Joaquin Macanas.
The 27-year-old right-back’s contract talks with Barca have not yet materialized but the negotiations are set to continue.
His current deal with the Primera Division champions is set to expire in the summer of 2012 and Premier League champions Chelsea are rumored to be monitoring the Brazilian’s situation at Nou Camp.
Alves’ agent believes his client is among the best defenders in the world, insisting Barca must give the player a contract he deserves.
“Dani is one of the best defenders in the world and the big clubs desire his services,” Macanas said in the Spanish media.
“We only ask that Barca value him in reality for his work and development during these years.”
However, unless the Blues choose to offload some of their players, a deal is unlikely to happen anytime soon as Paulo Ferreira, Jose Bosingwa and Branislav Ivanovi? are all able to fill the right-back spot.
