Marco van Ginkel would like to play in the Premier League but will shelve talk of his future until after the European Under-21 Championship.
The 20-year-old midfielder – who is contracted to Vitesse Arnhem – has been the subject of a transfer bid from Chelsea, reported to be in the region of seven million pounds.
Van Ginkel scored eight goals in the Eredivisie last season and is currently involved in the Netherlands Under-21s squad competing in Israel.
It appears his potential transfer to Chelsea will not be sealed until after the tournament, though, with the player keen on focusing on performing for his country.
“The Premier League is a very good league, I think every young player wants to play there,” Van Ginkel told Sky Sports News Radio.
“I know what people want to hear, but I’m not going to say anything about that now.
“I have to focus on this tournament. After that, I will think about my future – not now.”
Ajax are also keen on Van Ginkel, but it is believed that Vitesse do not want to sell to a club in the same league.
Van Ginkel has already been capped by the Netherlands senior team.
