Everton turned down the chance to sign Omari Hutchinson from Premier League rivals Chelsea on the final day of the January transfer window, according to The Mirror. The report has claimed that the 19-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, was offered to Everton, but the Toffees turned him down.
According to the report, Everton manager Sean Dyche believes that Hutchinson is too young to be involved in a relegation battle. The Jamaica international joined Chelsea from Arsenal in 2022 and has already played in the Premier League for the Blues.
Everton are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 20 matches, two points behind 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers. Meanwhile, Chelsea currently find themselves 10th in the standings with 29 points from 20 games.
