Premier League giants Chelsea are readying a new bid for AC Milan hotshot Alessio Romagnoli, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Blues recruited David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day in the summer, but manager Antonio Conte is still searching for defensive reinforcements.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the former Juventus boss has made AC Milan starlet Alessio Romagnoli has top target and is reportedly prepared to offer around €40 million for his services.
The two clubs have been discussing a potential deal for the Italy international as AC Milan officials Fassone and Mirabelli were in London recently, while the Rossoneri remain keen on bringing Cesc Fabregas to San Siro.
