Chelsea to bid for French goalkeeper

French media outlet L’Equipe has learned that Premier League holders Chelsea are hot on the trail of Troyes youngster Yehvann Diouf.

The 16-year-old is already regarded one of France’s hottest prospects, with top European clubs lining up for his signature.

Under a youth contract with Troyes until June 2017, the talented shot-stopper can be acquired at a bargain price in the summer and this is something that Chelsea aim to exploit.

The Blues are reportedly ready to offer €400,000 up front plus another €1 in various add-ons for Diouf ahead of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea plan to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible and beat the likes of Juventus and Bayern to the player’s signature.

Yehvann Diouf is already training with the senior squad at Troyes, but he has yet to be handed his first team debut, and may leave the club before that happens.
