Chelsea to enter Mudryk race?

Chelsea are considering a January swoop for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to The Guardian.

Mudryk has been an object of strong interest from Arsenal for a while now. The Gunners are even believed to have made an official starting offer for his services, believed to have stood at €40 million plus €20m in add-ons, which the Ukrainian club rejected without a second’s thought. They’ve indicated, on more than one occasion, that their valuation of the player at the moment goes above the €100m mark.

And while the talks between Arsenal and Shakhtar continue, other clubs are obviously considering the possibility of joining the race. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has already shown that he doesn’t shy away from spending big money in the transfer market, and if Arsenal hesitate too long, they could well see Mudryk move to Stamford Bridge instead of the Emirates next month.

Chelsea are reportedly also pursuing a deal to sign midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, while considering Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister too.
