Chelsea to go after Rodgers?

According to a recent report from Bild, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers could be linked up to replace Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.

There’s a growing belief that Lampard’s tenure as manager of the Blues is slowly going to be coming to an end over the course of the next few months, and if that happens, Chelsea will need to be prepared for what comes after that.

Rodgers is on an illustrious list of top three candidates alongside Ralph Hasenhuttl and Julian Nagelsmann, with all three men continuing to prove their worth at their respective clubs this season.

Many want to see Frank Lampard being given more time to really make an impact as manager but after the signings he made during the summer transfer window, you can understand why the board would want some quick results. If they can’t claw their way back into the title picture, or at least win a piece of silverware this season, he could be in major trouble.
