Chelsea have already started making big plans for the summer ahead. The Blues are currently fighting for the top four finish in the Premier League and soon they will be back in Champions League action. They have spent 45 million euros for Hakim Ziyech, as they already snapped him up before competition came in. But now it looks like Frank Lampard’s side will get a nice profit where they maybe did not expect it.
According to the Guardian, Atalanta have taken up the option to sign Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic on a permanent deal. The Serie A side have been impressed with the Croatian’s performances these past two seasons and they will pay 15 million euros to get the 25-year-old on permanent deal. Pasalic has been a Chelsea player since 2014 when he arrived from Hajduk Split for 2.5 million euros.
However, he had never made his debut for Chelsea, which means the Blues will get 12.5 million euros of profit off of a player that never played for them.
