New Chelsea boss Luiz Scolari has already added Deco to his squad but The Sun thinks that he will be looking to further strengthen his troops. According to the English tabloid, Scolari is willing to let go of Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda to raise funds for his transfer targets.
With AC Milan’s pursuit of Emmanuel Adebayor ending in a complete failure, it is thought that the Italian giants would be happy to take Drogba off Chelsea’s hands. A bid of about £22 million should clinch the deal, according to the same report.
The sale would be made to facilitate the purchase of Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o according to the same report. The Cameroonian price has been reduced to about £18 million after no club was willing to match Barcelona’s £32 million evaluation.
Scolari might also find a way to make Malouda useful to the club and use him a a sweetener in the Eto’o deal. The French winger has failed to deliver in his first year in the Premier League and it is thought that Scolari has no time for flops.
