After back-to-back defeats against Bournemouth and Watford, reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are heading towards a state of turmoil. Add to that the obvious frustration and general discontentedness of manager Antonio Conte and there are huge cracks beginning to appear at Stamford Bridge.
With all that’s going on it is little surprise that rumours are swirling about a potential sacking, and the next potential manager in the pipeline is former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, according to the Star.
The reports also suggest that Enrique will only make the move to Chelsea if the Blues acquire Barcelona and former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, thus reuniting the pair in London.
Suarez has pushed on to become one of world football’s foremost goal scorers in Catalonia, and he has netted 16 in 19 La Liga appearances this season.
Chelsea meanwhile are the lowest scoring side in the top six of the Premier League, so the addition of Suarez would perhaps get them back to challenging at the very top once again.
