After Mourinho unofficially took charge at Inter Milan, he is thought to be looking to bring three players that played under him at Chelsea to strengthen the nerazzurri ahead of next season. The three players are thought to be Frank Lampard – whose contract with Chelsea is slowly running out – Dider Drogba – who wants to leave Chelsea – and Ricardo Carvalho. All of the above as reported by The Sun.
Drogba and Carvalho could well be on their way out of the club regardless of where they go. The club suggested last week that it is looking to rebuild the squad and that some changes had to be made. It is thought that Drogba’s time at Chelsea is up after his Champions League final red card and the club are not too happy with Carvalho either.
The only player on that list that Chelsea would be desperate to keep is Frank Lampard. The talismanic midfielder has been crucial to Chelsea’s success over the past four years and he is one of the few players in that team who has been at Chelsea since the time before Roman Abramovich.
The Sun thinks that it would cost Inter £35 million to lure all three players to San Siro.
