Chelsea turn to Giroud

Oliver Giroud is the latest forward to be linked with a move to reigning Premier League champions Chelsea, according to the Mirror.

The France international’s future at the Emirates has been the subject of speculation since the summer, when he was a target for Everton.

However, he could now be set for a switch to Stamford Bridge with Blues boss Antonio Conte on the lookout for a new target man.

Andy Carroll of West Ham United, Stoke City’s Peter Crouch, Ashley Barnes of Burnley and Roma’s Edin Dzeko have all been mentioned as potential new additions though a deal for any of those is yet to come to fruition.

Giroud has been at the Emirates Stadium since the summer of 2012 and has since racked up two hundred and fifty-two appearances for the North London club in all competitions, scoring one hundred and five goals while he has helped them win the FA Cup in three of the past four seasons.
