Chelsea want Fernandes

According to a recent report from O Jogo, Premier League side Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes. The 24 year old has been with Sporting since 2017 when he made the switch over from Sampdoria, and he’s also been a Portugal international since that year too. Fernandes, who has been turning heads with his performances for a few years now, has been linked with a series of other top clubs around the continent including Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri appears to be scrambling at the moment in an attempt to buy himself more time, and one of the ways he could do that is buy locking down a few important signings for the summer transfer window. Fernandes is a young and hungry midfielder and while he has yet to prove himself in English football, you never know what you’re going to get from a player of his calibre.
