Chelsea want Gabri Veiga as Mason Mount replacement

Chelsea are interested in signing Gabri Veiga from Celta de Vigo in the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian. The report has claimed that Mount is on the verge of leaving Chelsea for Premier League rivals Manchester United, and that the Blues are looking at 21-year-old Spanish central midfielder Veiga to replace the England international midfielder.

Veiga is one of the best young midfielders in Europe and has a release clause of €40m (£34.4m) release clause in his contract at Celta. The 21-year-old plays predominantly as a No 6 or a No 8. The Spanish youngster made 28 starts and eight substitute appearances in La Liga for Celta last season. Veiga scored 11 goals and gave four assists in those games.

Chelsea, though, are not the only club who want to sign Veiga in the summer transfer window. The Guardian have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona are also keen on the youngster.
