According to Sky Italia, Chelsea are very interested in the possibility of a rather ambitious swap deal. The move would see the Blues bring Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge, and in exchange, Alvaro Morata would go to AC Milan. The move isn’t exactly a simple one, though, and some serious negotiations would have to take place, mainly because Higuain is only on loan at AC from Juve meaning they’d probably have to buy him, only to immediately sell him again to Chelsea.
It’s no secret that Maurizio Sarri and Higuain have a relationship together dating back to their days at Napoli, but the question remains as to whether or not the Argentine wants to move to English football.
On the other hand, Morata is said to be very interested in a switch back to Serie A after failing to find a consistent run of form with Chelsea.
One thing is certain: it’ll take a while before this one even remotely gets off the ground.
