Chelsea want to keep Andrey Santos

Chelsea plan to keep Andrey Santos at the club for next season, according to The Athletic. The report has claimed that Strasbourg have enquired about loan deal, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have said no.

Santos joined Chelsea from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama in January 2023. The 20-year-old midfielder had a loan spell at Vasco for the second half of the 2022-23 campaign before being sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023. The youngster was scheduled to stay on loan at the City Ground for the entire 2023-24 campaign, but his lack of regular playing time saw his loan spell cut sort.

The Brazil international midfielder did relatively well during his loan spell at Strasbourg. Sanrtos made nine starts and two substitute appearances in Ligue 1 during his loan spell. He scored one goal in those games. While at Forest, the midfielder played just seven minutes in the Premier League.
