Bild journalist Christian Falk has reported on Twitter that Chelsea are interested in signing Gabriel Martinelli from Premier League rivals Arsenal. The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that the Brazil international forward wants to extend his contract at he North London.

Martinelli has been superb for Arsenal ever since he recovered from his injury problems and has established himself as an important player in manager Mikel Arteta’s team. The 21-year-old is one of the first names on Arsenal’s teamsheet and is a rising star in the world of football.
The forward has scored 15 goals and created 12 big chances in 66 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Martinelli has scored four goals and provided two assists in nine Premier League matches and has played twice in the UEFA Europa League so far this season.
