Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu has become a target for La Liga side Valencia, that’s according to Talk Sport.
Romeu’s future at Chelsea has been under some doubt for a while now and it is thought he was close to a move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
The Spaniard has not featured for Roberto Di Matteo’s men in the English Premier League this season and he could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge as it seems as though he is out of favour at the moment.
Di Matteo may be wary about letting the 20-year-old go though as he does have plenty of potential and could be the kind of player that they need in the next few years.
Romeu has been a target for Valencia in the past as well, with both parties’ representatives apparently holding talks before he made the move to Chelsea.
Barcelona may still be keen of the midfielder, but the arrival of Alex Song at the Nou Camp makes the move unlikely.
It is thought that the future of Romeu will be decided on the amount of football he plays for Chelsea this campaign as ideally, he would like to stay at Stamford Bridge.
