Chelsea’s Alaba pursuit continues

According to a recent report from Bild, Chelsea are making their desire to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba very clear.

The Blues would ideally like to come to terms on some kind of arrangement during the January transfer window, but given how many transfer deals tend to work these days, there’s a chance that could extend far beyond that – perhaps up to the summer.

The Bayern star has enjoyed a lot of great moments with the German giants but it does feel as if his tenure with the club is slowly coming to an end, and on the flip side, Chelsea’s legacy under Frank Lampard is only just beginning.

Alaba still has a lot left in the tank and the Blues are very much a team on the rise, which could quite easily make this transfer a viable one – especially with the money that Chelsea have been throwing around.
