Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been in inspired form throughout the season since his arrival from Barcelona. The Spanish international scored and created a goal in the Blues’ 2-0 win against Stoke City on Monday night, which caps how impressive his Premier League return has been.

With 12 assists made in 16 Premier League games, while having created 54 chances already, the former Arsenal playmaker has been worth every penny from his £30M from Barcelona. As a result of his fine form, Fabregas finds himself in line to be named PFA Player of the Year, won by former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in 2013/14.

While only midway through the season, Fabregas has stiff competition from Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Diego Costa (Chelsea), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) all who have shone in the Premier League so far this campaign.

But Betfair are backing Fabregas with odds of 23/20 to be named PFA Player of the Year.
