Serbian defender Slobodan Rajkovic is set to complete a move from Chelsea to Valenciennes, L’Equipe understands.
The 22-year-old joined Chelsea in 2007 from OFK Beograd, but has been farmed out on loan every season so far as he was unable to gain a work permit.
After spending last four seasons on loan at PSV, Twente and Vitesse, Rajkovic joined the Blues for pre-season training and featured in several friendly games under Andre Villas-Boas.
However, with the Serb again unlikely to be granted a work permit, he will be allowed to move to Valenciennes, although it remains to be seen whether he will join VAFC on loan or on permanent deal.
The Ligue 1 side sees Rajkovic as a perfect replacement for his compatriot Milan Bisevac, who joined Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer.
