Competition: League Two

Market: Cheltenham win

Odds: 2/1 @ Bet 365

Knowing that another victory on Tuesday will see them climb into the automatic positions, Cheltenham will make the trip to League Two strugglers Grimsby in midweek.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another worrying display and suffering a 2-0 loss away at Northampton and now handed back-to-back defeats, Grimsby find themselves in the midst of a real struggle. Failing to record a single victory in any of their last 11 appearances, a run that stems back to the end of September, many around Blundell Park are starting to fear that their side could be dragged into a relegation scrap. Also losing nine of those matchups on their winless run, their performances on home soil will be a huge concern for Michael Jolley. Grimsby have lost three of their last four in Lincolnshire, including a 4-0 hammering against fellow strugglers Leyton Orient last month.

As for the visitors, while Cheltenham may have only snatched a point off of Colchester last weekend, there is no doubt that Michael Duff’s men will be glad to get back on the road in midweek. Knowing that three points on Tuesday will see them climb into the automatic positions, fans around Gloucestershire have seen their side save their best performances for their trips away from the Jonny-Rocks Stadium. Remarkably, Cheltenham are unbeaten in their last six matches on the road, a run that stems back to the 3rd of September. Picking up victories over Swindon, Plymouth, Salford, and Walsall on that stellar run, Duff’s side should be confident of extending on their purple patch in midweek.
