Real Madrid forward Denis Cheryshev has rejected offers from Russian top sides in favour of staying at Santiago Bernabeu, according to Marca.
Cheryshev, 21, has caught the attention of top European clubs with some excellent showings for Real Madrid Castilla, with Everton the first high-profile side to express interest in the talented forward.
Spanish Marca now claims that Russian giants Zenit and CSKA Moscow have both joined the race for the player.
However, the same source claims Cheryshev has rejected the Russian clubs in order to remain at Santiago Bernabeu despite being offered a €2.5m yearly wage.
Cheryshev is held in high regard by Real Madrid officials and he believe he can make his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans in the near future.
The player, who was recently handed his first Russia cap by Fabio Capello, made his first team debut for los Blancos in Copa del Rey match against Alcoyano.
