Primera Division side Sevilla will have to do without striker Ernesto Chevanton for the rest of the season. The Uruguayan suffered a knee injury four months ago and now underwent surgery.
Chevanton injured himself during Uruguay’s World Cup qualifier with Argentina and was initially ruled out for a month. Four games after making his return, it was decided to perform surgery.
The 28-year-old joined Sevilla from French side Monaco in 2006, but never really managed to break through in Spain. This season, he played seven La Liga games and scored three goals.
