Market: Chicago Fire win
Odds: 19/20 @ Bet 365
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Chicago Fire will look to carry on their immaculate record against The Revolution when New England travel to Toyota Park.
For Veljko Paunović’s Chicago Fire side, The Reds are desperately trying to surpass their third-place finish in the Eastern Conference last season and the hosts on Sunday will be hoping that their penalties victory over Columbus Crew in the fourth round of the US Open Cup will inspire The Fire. Now winning three of their last four, Paunović’s boys also boast an eye-catching record against The Revolution. Chicago have now beaten New England in their last four meetings on the bounce, putting 12 past them aswell.
As for former Premier League shot-stopper Brad Friedel, although his New England side may sit with a five-point advantage over The Fire come kickoff, The Whites came crashing out of the cup in midweek courtesy of a 3-2 loss to level below Louisville City. Along with traveling to Toyota Park with an awful record against the hosts, New England have now only picked up a single win in their last five and have also failed to win any of their last five on the road, in fact, in that five-match run New England have shipped at least three goals in each of those matchups.
