Chicago Fire have lost a lot of players since the end of the last season and the new campaign in Major League Soccer is set to start on 29 February. That means the Illinois based club must find new signings very fast and one of those could be Nemanja Matic.
Serbia international is being targeted by the MLS side, according to the Sun, who are also claiming Chicago are ready to offer him five million pounds per season. That would make Matic one of their Designated Players and also one of the best paid MLS players throughout the league.
It remains unknown how realistic this move would be to happen, especially as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that Matic will not leave the club this January. Still, his contract is set to expire in June and that is when Chicago could snap him up, without spending money on transfer fee as well.
