Mexico international striker Javier Hernandez is hoping to change clubs during the January transfer window, Fox Sports Mexico has reported.
Chicharito is currently not being involved as much as he would like to at West Ham and, despite scoring in West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday, he is hoping for a change of scenery that could help him gain more regular playing time.
His agent Eduardo Hernandez claims there are a number of clubs interested in Chicharito’s services but acknowledges that any possible move will depend on West Ham’s willingness to let the Mexican forward leave.
According to David Moyes, on the other side, a January departure is highly unlikely.
“Javier has asked personally for it (transfer). He’s commented, stated and demanded that we look for a club that really needs a player with his characteristics because what he wants is to play and play and play.”, Hernandez said.
Chicharito’s agent will be travelling to London this week to open negotiations with West Ham and try to soften Moyes’ stance on Javier Hernandez’s availability.
The latest developments in terms of Andy Carrol and Manuel Lanzini’s injuries are likely to have a big impact on Moyes’ decision making, however.
