Giorgio Chiellini is considering the possibility of leaving Juventus this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The veteran centre-back has been playing for the Old Lady for 17 years now, since his arrival from Fiorentina in 2005 for less than €8 million, and it seems he’s looking for an opportunity to face new challenges in the final stage of his career.
The 37-year-old insisted throughout the season that he was focused on Juventus and he’s surely professional enough to do his best to help the team finish the term as strongly as possible, but with his current deal expiring in two months, he is open to a new experience. He is believed to be exploring a move to the MLS.
In all competitions, Chiellini has so far made a total of 556 appearances for Juventus, scoring 36 goals and producing 24 assists. He’s helped the Old Lady win the Scudetto nine times, along with five Coppa Italiana trophies. He has 116 caps as an Italy international to his name, and he captained his country as they strode to the European crown last year.
