Former Paraguayan goalkeeping legend Jose Luis Chilavert gave his own view on Argentina boss Diego Maradona following his side’s 6-1 crushing by Bolivia this week.
Chilavert, famous for scoring many goals from free kicks and penalties in his days, particularly commented on Maradona’s past.
“It is very difficult for a person that has gone through such a depth due to drugs, to be so balanced. The incoherence will be very common,” Chilavert said.
The former keeper also gave his opinion on the height at which the match was played: “He fought so hard for the Bolivian people to be able to have their matches at that altitude, so he can’t complain.”
Argentina are still likely to feature at next year’s World Cup, but pressure has mounted on Maradona following the humiliation in La Paz.
