Beijing Guoan moved back atop the Chinese Super League after a 4-0 thrashing of the struggling Shenzhen Ruby on Monday.
Honduran striker Walter Martinez struck a brace as Beijing found the back of the net three times in the first half in Beijing.
The hosts went ahead after 20 minutes through Martinez before Yu Yang doubled their advantage on the half hour mark.
Martinez guaranteed the points with another a minute before the interval and Australian forward Joel Griffiths added a fourth in the 63rd minute.
Beijing are a point clear of Guangzhou at the top, while Shenzhen Ruby are bottom with just one win from eight games.
