Hangzhou Lucheng missed their chance to go top of the Chinese Super League after settling for a 1-1 draw with Changchun Yatai on Saturday.

A win would have taken them ahead of first-placed Guangzhou by a point, but 11th-placed Changchun were good enough to hold on for a draw at home.

Du Zhenyu had given the hosts a 21st-minute lead, but substitute winger Ba Li levelled the scores in the 71st minute to ensure his team left with a point.

Elsewhere, Shaanxi Chanba moved into fifth after a 1-0 win over Shanghai Shenhua.

A ninth-minute goal from defender Milos Bajalica gave Shaanxi their fourth win of the season and sent them above sixth-placed Shanghai.
