Chivu’s agent rules out January exit

Agent of Inter defender Cristian Chivu, Vicor Becali has moved to deny reports that his client will leave the club in January.

Ajax boss Frank de Boer yesterday suggested that the Dutch giants could make a move for the Romanian, but the player’s agent says January exit is not an option.

“There has never been any contact with Ajax,” Victor Becali told TMW.

“As is stands we have still not been offered anything in terms of a contract extension by Inter.

“However, I can confirm that Cristian will not be going to Ajax in January. Only a massive offer could see Chivu leave the club before his contract expires.”

The player’s contract is set to expire next summer, and it looks as though he will not be offered a new deal at Giuseppe Meazza.
