According to a recent report from Bild, Werder Bremen’s pursuit of Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong is in real danger of falling through.
The 20-year-old had been heavily linked with a loan move away from Old Trafford this summer, but now, it appears as if that’s going to be put on hold for the time being. Bremen were thought to be very close to getting a deal done, but the extension of United’s Europa League campaign is believed to be the real stumbling block here.
Chong is someone that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to value as a growing talent at the club, but for the time being, he doesn’t seem to have a real place in their first team plans. With this in mind, it would make a whole lot of sense for him to look elsewhere in search of some playing time – but Bremen may not be the place for that.
