Competition: Premier League
Market: Chris Hughton to be next Fulham manager
Odds: 7/2 @ Ladbrokes
Former Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is being linked to the vacancy at Fulham. Felix Magath recently lost his job with the newly-relegated London side after picking up just one point from seven games this season in the Championship.
The Fulham hierarchy are now likely to appoint a manager with past experience of getting a club up from the second tier to the Premier League, and Hughton certainly fits the bill. He led Newcastle to promotion in 2009/10, winning the Championship title in his first full season as manager.
The Cottagers will certainly have him on their shortlist, and Ladbrokes are giving odds of 7/2 for the 55-year-old to be their next head coach. There are a lot of other names being mentioned too, however. Former Totttenham boss Tim Sherwood, ex-Celtic manager Neil Lennon, and current Newcastle manager Alan Pardew are all in the frame to replace Magath.
Hughton is said to be the bookies’ favourite currently, and there’s no doubt he’d relish the chance to managed a side like Fulham to try and get them back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Bet: Chris Hughton to become the next Fulham manager following Felix Magath sacking @ 7/2 with Ladbrokes >>
