Former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is interested in becoming the new manager of Rangers, according to 90min. Rangers are on the hunt for a new manager after sacking Michael Beale this past weekend, and Wilder is keen on taking charge of the Ibrox club.
Wilder is one of the best managers available at the moment. The 56-year-old did a tremendous job at Sheffield United. The Englishman took the Blades from League One all the way to the Premier League. Wilder has had managerial spells at Middlesbrough and Watford as well among other clubs.
Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 12 points from seven matches. The Gers are seven points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who are also the defending champions. Rangers will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Aris Limassol away from home in UEFA Europa League Group C.
