Serie A outfit Napoli are considering a January bid for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer, Il Corriere dello Sport understands.
The Azzurri have finally managed to mount a serious title challenge in the league and currently sit just one point behind leaders Inter Milan.
And while coach Maurizio Sarri does not plan to make major changes to the squad in the upcoming transfer window, he is looking to add another central midfielder to his ranks.
Napoli are believed to be looking at Andre Gomes and Davy Klaassen, but the latest reports suggest they are also keen on Christoph Kramer.
Some year and a half after they had failed to lure the German midfielder to Stadio San Paoli, the Azzurri seem ready to launch a fresh assault, although they again face a difficult task.
Kramer started 15 Bundesliga games since returning to Bayer Leverkusen and he will definitely not be available on the cheap.
