Dmytro Chygrynskiy has arrived in Barcelona to undergo a medical ahead of completing his 25m euro (£22m) move to the Champions League winners.
The 22-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk defender has agreed a five-year contract and will be officially presented by the club on Monday.
Chygrynskiy played against Barcelona in a 1-0 European Super Cup loss Friday, his last game for the Ukrainian club.
He joins Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell in signing for the Catalan giants.
That pair both arrived from Inter Milan earlier in the summer, with boss Pep Guardiola keen to add to his squad despite winning La Liga title, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey last season.
